Beautiful Tattoos – Need Time
Have You ever succeeded in making something fast and good?
Those two things almost never go in pairs! Unless we are talking about heavy metal music, car races or 100 meters sprint running, but tattooing is not one of those. It is a craft that praises patience, precision and passion. In this case, it means making always great tattoos/designs – not necessarily quick. What is an hour here and there in comparison to the whole life? With tattoos there is no bypass to excellence.
A master chef from a high-end restaurant could be a good analogy
to the importance of doing things in correct order and with the right amount of love and time. We recognize the professional chef not by the speed of his/her cooking – quite the opposite – fast food are not the equivalents of good taste and quality, but by his/her knowledge of the recipe, ingredients and that unique ability to connect everything into a delicious dinner.
To achieve a result that will blow away the taste buds of everybody, a chef could not speed up the process, it is not the road to 5 Michelin Stars. By trying to fry something too fast, the only possibility is to screw up the whole dish. The road to 5 Michelin Stars is by perfection, experience and respect to the rules, while simultaneously adding the MAGIC factor, which is the talent, hard work and exceptional taste.
Do You already see similarities to tattooing?
Being a true chef – is in its core – being also an artist. Everyone who is passionate about work and willing to make it as good as possible with constant need to improve is an artist. That artist’s motivation is a feature of all people who are finding FLO in what they are doing. They do things with a higher goal than money, or a cool Instagram picture. Their motivation is in the meaningful life full of challenges they love. If social status, awe or a nice home comes with it – it is a consequence of being exceptionally good in their profession – not the goal itself. It is an easy method to tell one from the others.
So yes, to make a good tattoo not only tools are needed.
Like to make a decent meal, You don’t need to only buy the right ingredients and a pan. Everybody can do that. What You really need is time. Time to create a good project ( by creating I don’t mean stealing from Pinterest or Instagram ). Time to talk and get to know Your customer’s needs. Time to find best placement on the body. Time to complete the tattoo and if needed meet for the next session.
What’s more, to achieve beautiful results, there is a huge need for time that an artist spends improving. The time that only the artist is fully aware of, but that kind of time that is visible in every detail of the artist’s work. Even the greatest talent without hard work is nothing!
Let’s not make important things in life in a hurry. Let’s value experience and professionalism.
Let’s meet at Vadelma Tattoo!
