Best things to do after the Tattoo Session!
Hello Everyone! In today’s blog, I’m going to share some tips. There’s a lot of information on how to prepare for a tattoo session, but what about what to do after the session? Interested? Let’s go!
Most Important!
Take it easy after your tattoo session! In my opinion, this is the best thing you can do. Please don’t plan anything exhausting—no training, no parties, no work. Just rest. For most people, getting a tattoo is a big deal. It’s usually emotional too, and emotions—even positive ones, like getting a beautiful tattoo—can drain you of energy. That’s why our first recommendation at Vadelma Tattoo is to go home, eat something nourishing, and simply chill. Watch a movie, wrap yourself in a blanket, and let others handle the chores, even if it’s just for one day. You deserve it. I’ve been through many tattoo sessions myself, and every time they’re over, I feel done. In a good way—like you’re tired but happy after accomplishing a challenging task. So, no rush, no stress. Just relax and let your fresh tattoo start the healing process.
Second,
Please follow our aftercare instructions carefully! It can’t be stressed enough how important the healing process is. We’ve done our part with the utmost care and precision (and believe me, Vadelma Tattoo is always striving for improvement—just like scientists are always exploring new frontiers in their fields). Now it’s your turn to take responsibility for the ink. Take good care of it, and everything will heal just fine.
Less Obvious,
Don’t compare your tattoo to others’. In life, the less we compare ourselves to others, the better. It’s a good idea to step away from looking at tattoos for a while. The more options we have, the less happy we become with what we’ve chosen. This is called “Anxiety of Choices.” For example, if you try on 30 pairs of jeans and buy one, when you get home, you may start wondering about the other 29. Sound familiar? It’s the same with tattoos. You can get the most beautiful, personal, and well-executed tattoo ever, but then see 20 others—maybe not even as good as yours—and feel like something’s missing. If you’re deep into the tattoo world, you’ve probably noticed that there are only a few truly great artists per country, even though it seems like there are many because we see them all over social media. Don’t fall into that trap.
Social media unfortunately promotes this behavior, which is a topic for another discussion. Anyone with teenage children knows exactly the downsides of social media, but even adults can get caught in this trap. Part of why our social media looks like a portfolio with no personal content is to maintain professionalism. But how does a tattoo artist’s vacation photo from Dubai relate to their skills? Should choosing a tattoo artist be based on their holiday spots or their artistic talent?
Remember, getting a tattoo is a deeply personal experience, and your opinion is the only one that truly matters.
