Can I get a Tattoo in Summer – 25′ edition
Hello Everyone! The summer is coming and the question “Can I get a tattoo in the summer” is back! I don’t know why it became so popular hesitation – but You know – people tend to follow many different narratives. In the following blog, I will try to put the topic into different perspective. To start, ask Yourself why in California tattoos are as popular as they are? If it won’t be possible to get them in the summer – the California’s tattoo studio would be out ot the bussiness, and we all know that the reality is quite the opposite.
Common misconception
Social media, and before TV – usually were not as interested in knowledge, but in opinions, drama and topic that could be easily spread. Diving deeper in to every topic requires burning more calories and it’s not as pleasant. That’s why insted of objetive explanations, most likely we will see titles as 5 BEST THINGS TO DO, 3 WAYS TO BE HAPPY, or DON’T MAKE A TATTOO IN THE SUMMER.
Well, the world is not that simple. But in the pursuit for our attention, sadly the media companies, or influencers are forced to use such techniques.
So, what kind of frame should we use to clarify under which condition we should not get a tattoo in the summer? Maybe, we need to look up to the starts? That could mean that beetween 21st June and 22nd September we shall not get a tattoo. Or maybe we should look at temperature? Can we consider everything above 23 degrees Celcious as Summer? Is a warm Spring different in that sense?
I know that it is a bit sarcastic, but somehow that wondering about getting a tattoo in the summer exist only in countries where there are 4 seasons, and summer is not that hot, or long.
Your own situation
Always think for Yourself. Maybe indeed summer is the best time for You to get a tattoo? Maybe You will have 3 weeks off from work, and You it is simply perfect time to do it? Maybe, You don’t like to swim, to lay in the sun and for You covering the tattoo is as easy as it goes? Maybe the tattoo will be on the placement that is anyway covered all the time and You don’t need to be super mindfull? Maybe, the summer will be cold, gray and full of rain and gettiing a tattoo will be the ray of sunshine during that period?
Do You see? A lot of maybe’s
Facts
Do be fair – it is fact that when You get a tattoo You need to take a good care of it. It is not allowed to swim and put the tattoo on the strong sun. Please also take it seriously, becouse healing process really matters. However, no matter which season, You need to take care of it, and maybe for You summer would be the best time to get a tattoo! What’s more, during the summer our skin is less dry and tattooing goes smother. You can all notice the difference in Your skin in in the harsh winter and lovely summer. No more comment needed here.
End
