Simon’s Mission
Hello! It’s SIMON here! Vadelma Tattoo was born in Finland ( Vadelma MEANS Raspberry ). As the old saying goes, if You want to have something that doesn’t exist yet, You need to create it. So, Natalie and I established Vadelma Tattoo in 2021. It’s our goal to bring the most beautiful art and experience to PEOPLE who care. We love it! Hope that you do too! I focus on FINELINE Text Tattoos. They are the reason why I started tattooing.
.
About me : Technical Foundations: Structure Before Art
.
I didn’t start tattooing early — I started at 26. Before tattooing, I worked in my family’s electrical company and earned a diploma in electricity. I was officially trained, working hands-on in a technical environment where precision and responsibility weren’t optional — they were essential. At the same time, I studied civil engineering. Although I chose not to continue that path, those years shaped the way I think. Engineering teaches you to see structure, to respect details, and to understand that small miscalculations can have long-term consequences. Looking back, I realize that mindset never left me. Long before I ever held a tattoo machine, precision and commitment were already part of who I was.
.
The Creative Side: Music and Leadership
.
While my professional background was technical, music was always my creative world. I played drums, guitar, and bass in different bands. But I didn’t just play — I also managed them. I organized gigs, handled communication, structured rehearsals, and made things happen behind the scenes. That combination — creativity and organization — became a pattern in my life. I’ve always been someone who builds and creates at the same time.
.
Moving Across Europe
.
I’m originally from Poland, but my life has taken me across Europe. I lived in Austria. I lived in the Netherlands. Eventually, my wife Natalie Vadelma and I moved to Finland. We weren’t just moving countries — we were building our future step by step.
.
The Beginning of Our Studio (2021, Finland)
.
In 2021, in Finland, Natalie opened her own private tattoo studio. I stepped in as the studio manager. My role was to help build the business from the ground up — organizing systems, managing clients, handling operations, and creating structure. While we were building the studio together, something unexpected happened. Natalie started teaching me tattooing. Not in a big commercial environment. Not in a traditional apprenticeship setting. But inside our own private studio — with real clients and real responsibility from the very beginning.
.
Learning the Craft
.
I didn’t learn tattooing casually. I learned it while being deeply involved in every part of the studio — the creative process, client communication, hygiene standards, long-term vision, and daily discipline. For three years, we worked side by side. Growing the studio. Refining my technical precision. Building trust with clients. Those years were not rushed. They were built patiently. And that foundation matters.
.
Relocating to Amsterdam (2024)
.
In 2024, we relocated our business to Amsterdam. It felt like a natural next chapter — bringing together everything we had built internationally and placing it into one of Europe’s most creative cities. Moving wasn’t just a change of location. It was an evolution of our vision.
.
Specializing in Fine Line Lettering
.
Today, I specialize in fine line lettering tattoos. Clean lines. Minimal compositions. Balanced spacing. Designs created to age beautifully. My technical background taught me structure. Music taught me rhythm and sensitivity. Running a studio taught me responsibility. All of it comes together in the way I approach tattooing now. Calm. Intentional. Precise. Because for me, tattooing is not just about aesthetics. It’s about trust.
.
The Simon Vadelma Podcast (2025)
.
In 2025, I launched the Simon Vadelma Podcast. It’s a space where I talk about fine line tattoos, studio life, creative journeys, and meaningful conversations with guests from different industries. The podcast reflects something important to me: growth never stops. Whether through art, business, or conversation, I’m always interested in understanding things deeper.
.
A Non-Traditional Path — Built With Intention
.
My journey into tattooing wasn’t traditional. It wasn’t impulsive either. It was consciously built — step by step — through structure, creativity, movement, and partnership. And that is exactly how I approach every tattoo today.
With patience.
With precision.
With full respect for the person who trusts me with their skin.
