Travel for a Tattoo
Hello Everyone! In today’s episode I’d like to give you a small thought to reflect on: Does it make sense to travel somewhere to get a tattoo? Is a tattoo something you simply look for in your neighbourhood, or is it a lifetime DECISION that’s worth investing more time and energy in?
.
I believe it is a lifetime decision.
Getting a tattoo, unlike most things we do, lasts for a very long time. Trying a new bakery, buying a new phone or testing a new haircut is easy — if you like it, great. If not, the consequences are small. Tattoos, just like many other industries, are going through an ERA of specialization. To truly master a profession, you need to focus on it completely. Unless someone is a genius, it’s hard to reach perfection at guitar, piano, drums and flute by practicing each of them for 30 minutes once a week. We have much better chances if we choose one. The same goes for tattoos. We cannot expect a realism artist to produce a DELICATE fine-line piece — and vice versa. Understanding that will protect you from disappointment.
.
That’s why sometimes you should travel for a session.
If you’re looking for a specific style and aesthetic, and no one in your town truly does it — not just claims they can — then I always recommend looking a bit further away. And honestly, it can become a beautiful ADVENTURE . Going outside your comfort zone might bring a little tension to the brain, but in the end you will be so happy you did it. It’s one of the best ways to build self-esteem. To be able to say afterwards:
“YES! YES! YES!”
- A small victory — but life is mostly made of small things.
A good morning coffee.
A lovely talk with a friend.
Thirty minutes reading a book.
And, of course, getting a beautiful tattoo that will stay with you forever.
.
Thank You for today!
I wish you only beautiful tattoos and great experiences with tattoo artists. If you can find a studio nearby that truly speaks to you — wonderful, just take responsibility for your own body and choose what feels right. If that studio happens to be Vadelma Tattoo — perfect. But the most important thing is that you are happy with your decision.
Much love,
Simon
