Vadelma’s Instagram Handbook
How we use it. What is it there for You?
Social Media in general is a powerful tool, but it is a tool. Isn’t it? For us it is the perfect way to share with our clients artwork we are making, and willing to make in future. An easy to access online PORTFOLIO that everybody can see within the reach of hand. Never in history was it possible to show Your art to so many people that easily. It is a great advantage. Thanks to social media like Instargam, people who resonate with our artistic vibes can find us on their own.
However Social Media is still a marketing tool.
Our main profession is and always will be creating art, developing skills at tattooing and growing as artists. Or writing a blog post like this, which is something more than description under a post. By writing relevant content about Vadelma Tattoo, we are building awareness of our studio and Vadelma brand. Here we can freely tell You what You can expect from us and why we are making :
“Tattoos that matter – for people who care”.
That’s why You will only see tattoos, drawings or some beautiful artistic photographs on our profiles. When we post a video, it is also well made, and quite rare on the feed. There is something deep inside me and Natalie – we have some kind of allergy to, as I call it “Fast Food” content on the Internet. There is way too much low, or even very low quality videos, photos with no, or negative input out there. By negative input I mean that after accidentally seeing it, for a little while, the world seems to be a less wonderful place as it is in reality.
We are in full awareness that having appearances on Instagram and Pinterest is an inevitable part of running a business. However there is a thin line there. We believe that a business profile like ours should be filled only with the content related to it – to provide You as our customer a great view on art work and service You can expect from us when You come for a tattoo session. Without some time wasters. Time is our most precious value in life, the one that for sure is limited and we’ll never get it back. Let’s spend it on valuable things that make our life better. I don’t believe that it is crucial for tattooing purposes to know what Your tattooer ate for breakfast, bought in a clothing shop, or where spend vacation.
I also used to be a client of a tattoo artist, when I did my first few tattoos.
And You know what was the most important for me? Especially in the pre Instagram era? Quality of work and studio + whether the artist specialized in the style of tattoo I am looking for + kind, yet professional contact with artist in general. Those factors are directly connected with the Tattoo which was what I ultimately came for.
Quality of work – Portfolio of the artist on the website. Which by definition does not mean all tattoos made, but those showing skills and style in the most accurate way.
Studio – Location, Vibes and how I as a potential customer will feel there. My personal preferences are more toward private studios with a customer oriented atmosphere, rather small and cozy. That’s why Vadelma Tattoo is made in such a way.
Specialization – Jack of all trades is in my opinion not the best path to follow while being a tattooer. To truly achieve great results, You need to choose what You want to do and focus on that. Isn’t that true to some degree in life too? That’s why at Vadelma Tattoo You can get only limited types of tattoos, the ones that resonate with us and will most likely stand the test of time. Flowers and sentences are with us since forever and they will be there a little longer too.
Contact – Friendly, relatively swift responses ( if not announce that someone is on vacation ) plus direct, detailed answers if something is not clear or covered in FAQ.
At Vadelma Tattoo we put great effort to constantly improve those factors and be better and better in tattooing!
Much love!
Simon
