Why choose Vadelma Prints?
Hello Everyone! Why choose Vadelma Prints? That’s a great question! In today’s blog, I’ll share a bit more about the story behind this company. If you’re someone who appreciates craftsmanship and quality, then Vadelma Prints is likely to resonate with you. This project is my personal response to an inner calling—to bring more beauty and harmony to the world. And what better way to do that than through art? Let’s dive in!
Quality over Quantity
As you may have noticed, I currently offer only 4 artworks. This is intentional. In today’s world, we’re constantly bombarded with information, and overstimulation is real. My goal with Vadelma Prints was to create a collection that not only looks beautiful individually but also works harmoniously when paired together. By limiting the selection, I’ve been able to focus on perfecting each drawing to the point where I’m proud to sign my name on it.
Vadelma Prints is not a print-on-demand company based in a country with the cheapest production costs. It’s a small business, run by real people—my husband Simon and me. We take pride in every single print we sell. And yes, we make everything right here in the Netherlands. Isn’t it amazing to produce art in a country known for its rich cultural history, with masterpieces by Rembrandt, Vermeer, Van Gogh, and many more? It’s a high bar, but we’re committed to honoring those standards. The journey has just begun, and we’d love for you to be part of it.
Attention to Materials
Details matter. During my time studying architecture, I learned how important it is to pay attention to the smallest elements. For me, everything needs a strong foundation. Just like a building needs solid ground, Vadelma Prints is built on the highest-quality, museum-grade paper. That’s the cornerstone of our work, along with the premium inks we use for printing. I want you to have a product that will last a lifetime, and that starts with using the best materials.
There were no compromises in this process. Once you hold a Vadelma Print in your hands, you’ll see the difference. To me, sustainability isn’t just about using eco-friendly materials (though we prioritize that as well). It’s about crafting something to last, something you don’t need to replace every few years.
I’m a big enthusiast of well-made products. They may cost more upfront, but in the long run, they are always worth it. Cheap, low-quality items are everywhere, but they wear out and need replacing. Why not invest in something that will stand the test of time? One car manufacturer once said in an interview that if their cars were made too well, they’d go bankrupt because people would only need to change the oil every 30 years. Sad, right? But it’s the reality. I hope things change, and Vadelma Prints is my small contribution toward a more sustainable, quality-driven future.
That’s all for today!
I’d love to hear what you think, so please feel free to leave a comment. And if you know someone who, like you, values quality, please share this page with them!
Much love,
Natalie
