Why we established Vadelma Tattoo?
Vadelma Tattoo was born in our minds.
It is not just a place, but a concept for creating art and providing a service that speaks to people—people who see tattoos differently, as we do. That’s why we established Vadelma Tattoo. Turning our vision into reality was a necessity. We wanted to create a studio where we would personally want to get tattoos if we were customers. A place that is private, safe, clean, welcoming, and attentive to the client’s needs. Free from the biases we’ve noticed (so far, of course—it’s a work in progress).
This led us to open a cozy, “appointments only” studio.
Vadelma Tattoo is located at Bilderdijkstraat 77 in Amsterdam, within a multi-business beauty hub called “Gallery Studios.” Here, around 30 different businesses operate—from skin care specialists and stylists to hairdressers, body therapists, and makeup artists. It functions like a polyclinic: one waiting area and common space, with each professional having their own private studio for appointments.
We think it’s perfect.
It combines everything we need. The entrance is from the street, but the main area is on the second floor. One great advantage of this setup is that it keeps us away from city noise, crowds, and random visitors passing by. We can fully concentrate on you and the work we aim to provide. When you arrive, you just “check in” via our Electronic Receptionist to let us know you’re there.
This is the only way we can provide tattoos, customer service, a studio environment, and an individualized approach to our clients exactly as we dreamed. After a few years in the industry, we’ve gotten to know our customers better. We’ve listened to their feedback and needs. It’s a constant journey, but an exciting one!
